The RC Car hobby thread

Nah it really isn't worth all that much if I am honest.

I'd really miss that noise though.
there are die hard nitro fans out there.. pretty sure you would have a buyer.

Electric is just easier annnnd people wont hate you aswell... always nice

Check out denkit, they have selection of items..

Do you want for racing?
Drifting?
or just to mess around ?
Car? Buggy? truck? lol

Any of you remember a brand back in the late 90's named Monkey King or something?
They used to make RC 4x4's. Think it was a top brand back then.

Anyone know where I can get batteries for a Team Losi Mini-LST (can't remember if its the 1 or 2)? I'm trying to get it up and running before selling it - and sold the original batteries.

Guys, I have a Tamiya TNS T18 nitro car. It seems the rear gearbox have seen it's last days. Any idea where I could still get spares, sin e Tamiya stopped making nitro cars and seems one can't get spares from them either.

Shoo can't be two years since I sold my Bronto doesn't feel like it.

Did the RC car hobby die out in SA? I know there are still some clubs operating, but hobby shops are far and few.

I remember the days when our town had a very good hobby shop, race track, meets and races.

Some time ago, even Denkit closed down their store in Umhlanga and only have one in Shelly Beach. Have to order parts and things online. I like walking into a store and browse.

Yeah I don't know.
I still have all my cars but haven't played with them in ages.
I did get an electric dirt bike though this week so I want to come up with a rucksack solution to transport an RC car etc. then I ride the bike to my local offroad tracks then mess around a bit.

I sold mine in 2019, but my son still got a few laying around, but he likes those construction ones :-)

I'm on the lookout for a barn find nitro RC on the cheap. Looking at trying my hand at a restoration job.
Car needs to be at least complete, but no need for transmitter or receiver.

If anyone has one that has been gathering dust in the garage or shed, drop me a PM. :)
