Bleh. As long as government is involved, it will be a failure, like every other state-owned enterprise in the last 15 years. Anything the ANC touches turns to sh|t.

I'm not saying that the greedy thieving profiteering capitalistic enterprises are any better either.

I don't know that the writer has any proper understanding of what Infraco actually is and what they do.

lol...it's government run. That means someone somewhere has taken a bribe and will keep the internet as expensive as possible because SOMEONE is making a huge profit out of this. As the saying goes...invest in South Africa, buy a politician
 
Yup sad indeed. Now we are left fighting about an extra one or two gigs of data for the various "innovative" DSL access packages offered by ISPs. Worst part, it seems as though there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. It is vividly clear that Gov refuses to be accountable for anything, they don't even bother to come up with a good spin anymore...
