The Rugby Thread - Part Deux

I don't understand the issue at 15. Cheslin will do great work there if needed and we still have other great wings. Sasha too, and if Willemse have a long term injury or lose form, they can train Sasha for a permanent 15 spot.

PS Manie is still our best 10.

Based on his present enigmatic form, Sacha is the last player you would want at 15, so a long way to even considering him there.

Ref update

Angus Gardner will now referee this weekend’s test between South Africa and New Zealand in Cape Town as Nika Amashukeli has not recovered from illness.

Amashukeli will take charge of the third test instead.

Saw that. Think Amagluglug is scared of the CPT crowd. If AB's lose those Cape Crusaders who don't even know where New Zealand is may blixem him.

Unrelated:

Also heard some rumors in the rugby world that Pollard may be replaced with SFM with Manie moving onto the bench due to a calf strain.

And also that Kolbe may replace Arendse for the weekend.

Rumors for now, but these people usually have the inside info.

So lets see.

I'd slot in Moodie for some height and weight to be honest, I'm sure it'll be the same up and under bombardment.

I tell you what, the Lions are looking blockbuster for the URC.

Just a few more players in to extend the squad and the let the magic happen.

Great at Ellis Park, struggle on the road.

I think their season opener is Leinster at home. Leinster have been slow out the gate and not particularly committed to the season opener, specifically when it's played in SA.

I see Rennie said during the press conference that he talked to World Rugby this week about SA walking around in the scrum...

Apparently last Saturday he sent message down to Savea to tell the ref to check the Boks in the scrum...and we saw what happened in the last scrum. They planted the seed...and then most likely had a big part of the scrum swinging....and mr ref is expecting the Boks to blame as most refs are clueless for scrums unless it's clear dominance as the Boks had in the earlier scrums.

My prediction: Going ahead the AB will beat their drum and influence the ref with this BS rhetoric and I can guarantee you scrums will now all be going sideways suddenly....

Rennie...He's a sneaky kittle f@#
Learned from Hansen who has been shadowing them recently...
