I'm totally okay with the nonsense the English media are spewing!

Feeds the Boks persecution complex, which, normally would be a counter-intuitive and destructive mind set. Not for Rassie's Boks. He's a genius at using criticism and negative press as a means to motivate his chargers.

So all this BS is just ammo for Rassie. I hope they continue with it... In fact, please don't hold back! Go hard/harder! Keep telling us exactly what you think!
 
So, Rennie been appointed AB's coach.

Remind me again.... Where is Ardie currently on sabbatical and who's the coach there?
 
Rennies proper.

Known for bringing the hard edge out of his players. Has a good record against the Boks too, I think while coaching the Aussies.

His side's push the boundaries though. High penalty count particularly at the breakdowns.

NZ rugby had so many criteria for the new coach, they severely limited the pool of qualifying coaches. Having said that Rennie is a great, great fit for them.

Um... he coached Aus from 2020 or so to 2023.... Not pre-Rassie. He won matches against Boks during the covid lockdown, where we played all our games in Australia for the rugby champs. Boks were pretty up between 2020 and 2023.

Yeah, my bad. Heard Victor Matfield questioning Rennies wins against Boks being Pre Rassie. I never bothered to check.

He does have experience beating the Boks though, which is the key point.

Wasn't simply away games, but the hoops needed to jump through back then, the quarantine rules etc and various other things, requirements not required for travelling now. Was a major benefit to Aus situation by comparison, wasn't just a normal 'tour' type situation. But hey, you want to act like it was 'normal', go ahead.

There was nothing normal about the covid period. Where am I suggesting it was normal? Covid messed with everyone, home or away, there were hoops for everyone to jump through. Does that mean we must disregard every fixture contested in that period?

You completely missed the point, that simply being, Rennie's Aussies knew how to beat the Boks. Indisputable fact...

Anyone watching Super Rugby?

Feels like there is a clear shift from New Zealand and Australia to play very loose almost like touch rugby type style with wild one handed passes.

Not sure if I'm a fan of this style of play.

Watched very little.

Catching the blues saders this morning.

It's fast and loose for sure, but highly entertaining.

I hardly watch anymore as we don't participate but the little I have watched has been worthwhile and entertaining.

Look, I guess it's what you as a spectator want out of a match.

Different leagues offer varying styles of the game. The standard and intensity varies significantly, while the fundamentals remain the same.
