The Rugby Thread - Part Deux

Missed all the rugby this weekend due to having no internet. 50/50 win ratio for the SA teams. Sharks out now. Awesome wins by the Bulls and Lions. Stormers I believe were poor.
Well done to the BlitzBokke winning their maiden HK title !

Stormers suddenly can't play rugby anymore. Lions made up for it though with their impressive performance.
Lions looking good and value for money, played fantastic against the Scotland B team!

Let’s hope they don’t do a “ deer in the headlights “ in knockouts.

I'm worried about their last 2 pool matches - Munster and Leinster away. I think those games will decided whether they get into the play-offs or not.

That's the big problem with their game plan. It's not a knock out/test rugby game plan. They play fast and loose, thrive on chaos, are efficient enough in the set pieces but not an area where they like to live and play.

Knock out rugby is far more structured.

And yes, 4th place and a home quarter, I suspect against Ulster... would be fantastic but they'll need 5 points against Connacht on Saturday and some points on the Irish leg. Very, very tough...

On a side note... Personally I'm still very f ucked off with the Sharks fixture! They were stitched up.

Ethan faces a 2-3 month lay off for a dislocated shoulder. That more or less rules him out of the greatest rivalry tour... FFS!! Or at least puts him in doubt.

You should read the comments on Walesonline.

They really dislike South Africans it seems.

The NZ fallout about funding South Pacific rugby, Moana Pasifika etc is quite funny, considering they were quite happy when shoe was the other foot with South Africa funding Sanzaar all those years of Super Rugby, making up the majority of total funding ourselves for their and Australia's benefit.

Why are us Saffers mostly at the short end of these decisions?

Not only that. It's so blatant that if fans moan about it, we keep getting labeled as moaners and crybabies by all of the NH fans. I'm starting to dislike Rugby as a whole now.

Thats fine, means its legally open season on us dislocating their shoulders at will .... I mean, they said its sommer fine
