Yeah, these warm-up/preseason matches are onerous..

Imagine Libbok gets injured? Or Jessie (who is injury prone)?

Our campaign would be f ucked even before it started (some are suggesting it already is).

Injuries are a reality in a contact sport. But also affected by workload. The Bok management has been good in trying to build depth, but you can also just get unlucky. But even then, depth doesn't mean you have enough quality across the 15 positions.

I see England's Van Poortvliet is also out.

This weekend was injuries galore.

It's all very scientific and finely balanced. Management will have multiple metrics on which to refer but honestly, given the amount of rugby our boys have been playing the last couple of seasons, I reckon we better off without these last 2 warm up matches.

Yes, European clubs/players have had similar workloads but they've been used to the workload for years and years now and have built squad depth to better manage their players.

SA franchisees haven't had the same luxury. Our player depth has been depleted by massive player drain. Our URC squads are 15-20 players shy of what they should be and as a result we haven't the luxury of resting our stars.

Jacques and co have done a remarkable job of building depth in the Bok squad but one feels the player drain chickens might come home to roost, RWC 2023...

Scotland's performance against France has shown that they will be no pushovers. It is of cardinal importance that we beat them.
I feel slightly better that we can beat Wales this weekend. They were horrible against a poor England team. The question is though - how much are the teams hiding as not to show their hand before the WC starts?
Also, no player want to risk being injured. So may not play to their full potential.
Wales had made 15 changes from the weekend prior and still nearly beat England at Twickenham. It's going to be a dour arm wrestle as usual.

Don't mind them but have grown to dislike Gatland since the last Lions series.

They should have won that especially with English down 3 players at one time. The failure to do so looks pretty bad. And the English has been shít lately. Pool C is looking pretty weak. I hope Georgia or Fiji can do something.

Player drain? It's not like they can't pick the players who are playing abroad? There was a video of them discussing this, and how players going overseas is of benefit to them, as it means the scope gets made wider, with our players for potential Bok selection are developed by more teams than just our local franchises, giving them a larger pool, not smaller, on our limit Rugby budget being a small nation.

Good team. Interested to see how Siya goes. I doubt he'll play all 80 minutes but if he can get through a good chunk of it unscathed, that bodes well.

It's a total joke. They grey areas in the officiating also extends to these reciews it seems...

There is no standard it's like each person has a different opinion about incidents and that is how they decide sanction.
