Yeah, there's an element of risk but not so much...

PS Rassie's not under estimating them. He backs his squad to get the job done. If anything he might over rate some of his own players....

Chances are I'll be eating my words next Saturday. I just hope we can win the Championship on Saturday and not have to wait another week and then play uncharacteristically because we're desperate for the win.

No, there's a fair chance we lose in Argentina. I'd say it's 30/70 in our favour.

If the side that beat NZ and Australia pitches up, it will be a long afternoon for the Boks.

Having said that, Australia's defense was so passive and docile, it's really difficult to get a handle on how good Argentina were and how bad Australia were. I think a bit of both. Argentina's handling and desire to play was quite spectacular. Everything they threw came off. They might have played their perfect game for the season. I don't see a repeat of that this year.... Bok defense won't afford them the time and space they enjoyed against Australia.

His international career is pretty much over IMHO.

Can't see him playing for the Boks again. His form at Ulster was horrendous. I think he's tired and ready for retirement (from international rugby)....

At 32 you could say he still has a good 2 to 3 seasons in him but when you start getting back to back injuries, that target diminishes exponentially... 83 test caps in a 7 year international career is a decent shift!! Very decent!!

Never said I know better. That's why at the end of my sentence when referring to Rassie I put "IMO".

We all have opinions. We can all be wrong.

Still don't actually know what you are on about, I was just voicing my opinion and you came in like the headmaster and told me to shut up as I don't know better than Rassie. Weird.
Not quite true. Quite the opposite actually. I said maybe you should make a youtube video so someone can forward your wisdom to Rassie.

Won't count him out too soon :) Let's hope he shakes those injuries, Stormers will need him in the URC

Well, no Bok rugby this weekend but there is still the "small" matter of 2 Currie Cup Semi-Finals to be decided -:

Saturday, 14 September-:
Lions vs Cheetahs - 3pm - Go Lions!
Bulls vs Sharks - 5pm - I don't have a favourite here, so I can just relax and enjoy the game.

LIONS!!!!!!!!!

I would enjoy a LIONS vs bulls Final though.

Haven't seen it posted here yet - it looks likely that there'll be no rugby championship in 2026, 2028, 2030 with old school stand alone tours taking place in those years instead. Initial reports say it'll pretty much be SA vs NZ tours for us with Aus being left to fend for themselves.
Why would the Rugby Champs become a bi-annual tournament? That part doesn't make sense imho. The announcement of these tours from 2026 has me wondering about whether or not SARU have gotten into Europe from 2026 or not, hence the tour arrangements with NZ, with Aus shooting themselves in the foot, refusing to deal with SARU for possible tours with them alternating, with their Aus management egos.

Are we resting players for this Argentina game?

If so, that means we are underestimating them, and that could be bad news for us.

They beat NZ, they just klapped Aus. We should treat this as if we are playing a top level team.

Losing to Arg would make us look really stupid.

Can't say agree tbh. Which of these players are genuinely so far off the others in the squad that you would question their inclusion to that degree considering the Boks team selections the past 4 rounds as well as the matches against Ireland?

Ireland praying we lose one game against the Pumas.

And worst of all...we don't even play them in the end of year tour.

So we have to listen to their kak on social media for how long still?
rankings mean fokkol... 4 world cups... 2 back 2 back

i think we all know who the best team in the world is.

simple as

Ireland can brag about rankings all they want.. but they can shut the eff up until they get Bill

And we got two flyovers

I have no shame in admitting I lost my mind when it flew over, hands in air, on my feet, shouting at the top of my lungs for no damn good reason. I was directly in line with its flight path, directly underneath where it exited

Got to watch it come in and fly right over me. Getting goosies just thinking about it
Envious of people who can just enjoy the moment, I would probably be on the inside all giddy, but on the outside bored as hell.

I know the feeling, usually I'm a bit self aware, but heck... absolutely got sucked into the moment

no man... i have a soft spot for the Chietass

They never have the top talent in the country but they give it a good go! and when it comes off it looks oh so lekka
Smaak the Cheetahs too, but the Lions is my team. Remember when the Cheetahs won the Curry Cup final against the bulls. Went to Menlyn shopping center the next morning it looked like Princess Di, died again.

Taking myself off to Emirates Park for this one. Lions have been playing stunning rugby this season. I owe them an appearance...
