400 iq to give players more restWell what a sad weekend. All SA teams knocked out of the Champions cup.
As it is I find it hard to believe that any SA team will be able to win the challenge cup.

We will always be on a hiding to nothing in the Champions Cup. Especially when playing overseas. The sooner you accept that and lower your expectations, the better off you'll be.Well what a sad weekend. All SA teams knocked out of the Champions cup.

Found itDuring yesterday's game, shortly before scoring his try, Hanekom tackled a guy about 25m back. Anyone know where I can get that video clip?
Apart from Bulls and half of lions, I wasn't able to watch the other games this weekend. Did our teams field full strength teams?Terrible weekend for us. Just glad those French teams arent in the URC!

Nope. Stormers had a few first choice players watching from the stands with a view to resting them before next week's huge URC clash with Leinster at the Aviva and the Sharks were missing the likes of Esterhuizen, Fassi and Etzebeth through injury.
Both were playing French sides away though and French club rugby right now has to be at an all time HIGH, brushing aside all before them.
I don't know. Relying on highlights these days to get my rugby fix.Apart from Bulls and half of lions, I wasn't able to watch the other games this weekend. Did our teams field full strength teams?
The only highlight anyone needs this week is Cameron's 20m tackle.I don't know. Relying on highlights these days to get my rugby fix.
Not if we were fielding half-arsed teams. Lions and Bulls both put strong XV on the field and smashed their opposition.Shouldn't it be worrying the way we got smashed. Its like back in the day when crusaders used to klap us.
Spot on. It's really as simple as that.We just don't have the depth or the money to field top class internationals like the French teams. The talent that we do have at our disposal must now also be spread to play throughout the whole year, (as opposed to a few years ago where there was an "off-season" between Dec. to Feb.), but coaches don't want to see the top guys get hurt. Plus players need to rest or suffer fatique/burnout/injury. We want to do well but can't afford it at this stage. Bit of a catch-22 situation.
Correct. Then you look at some French teams and they will have English/Scottish/Argentinian/Fijian, etc. and also a Saffa in their squads. Spoilt for choice!Spot on. It's really as simple as that.
Our talent pool barely extends past our borders.
Other than Ben Loader, I don't think there's a single foreigner representing one of our franchises.
In sharp contrast look how many South Africans are playing abroad!!!
