All political parties (including the ANC, DA and EFF) should march to Eskom HQ to present their grievances to the man running the power utility Andre de Ruyter. Andre is not based at Luthuli House nor is he an ANC leader.
nor is he allowed to do his job.

What if people believe that the solution to the energy problem is outside of Eskom, at a ministerial level, where they can break the power monopoly.

Stop making excuses for a Chief Executive Officer.
Out of the 200 white engineers offered to help fix this BS, they were only allowed to hire 18 because of quotas. Also, not allowed to retrench because ANC will lose votes. Not allowed to go back to rail because ANC will lose votes and truck tendas.

Oh, here we go... "What about Eskom???? What about Union Buildings????"

Guess what, you know how the ANC is in control of the gov and that Eskom is controlled by that same gov... Can you connect the dots here?

What party was at the helm of the gov deploying people to Eskom up until this point? What party controlled the gov's DMRE and DPE to the point where almost all the SOEs (incl. Eskom) are completely beyond saving?

I mean it's quite convenient to march to Eskom, but that's not the problem itself, ain't it? Who destroyed Eskom to this point where we have load shedding almost permanently and where the company itself is in shambles?

That's right, ANC! And where is ANC headquartered?

P.S. Before you hit me with the "What about De Ruyter?????" meme, the problem started before he got there, he could do **** all about it. No matter who gets appointed there, the core problem remains the same...

Who signs off on new generation? That is the only thing that will fix the power shortage...

Precisely. Eskom and the SOEs problems are purely ****ing political (of course, that in of itself destroyed them financially thx to looting, etc).

The ANC refuses to move from their kak ideology even a bit to resolve this, nor do they have the know-how or will to do anything about it.

Eskom's board can change 900023124019 times until next year and the problem remains the same.

The. Problem. Is. ANC.

You must learn to distinguish between party and state.
Not sure if serious or joking .....

Before we talk of such long term strategies Eskom must fix their power stations now to attend to the black outs that are ongoing. Maintenance and availability of the stations is the responsibility of the Eskom CEO.

Fixing Eskom’s stations is a longer term strategy than breaking Eskom’s monopoly.
