She is just being pragmatic. Can you imagine the hostility she would face if she even lets out that she thought about it ?

Did the non-experiment guy, Trollip, have to undergo such allegations (of leaving DA) ?

Difference is that in by-elections, you're voting for your councillor. And they're often cool people.

In the national election, you'll be voting for Solly (in GP) who's not bad, John (nationally) and ultimately Zille as the puppet master pulling their strings.

It's a bit ridiculous that the DA doesn't seem to have any limits on how long you can hold office. Zille can theoretically run the show until she dies, and she's not everyone's cup of tea. I actually preferred James Selfe, he was actually professional and not some social media Karen...

She said her relationship was being isolated and pointed out that other party members' relationships were not, including that of Brutus Malada, who is married to DA member Mpho Phalatse.

It must be quite rare (in SA) for people not to vote according to party lines. I can probably understand if tiny majority of voters switch between DA & FF+ or DA and ASA (recently seen in suburbia) but not really beyond that.

It doesn't seem like the first time she leaked party info...

While serving as a DA councillor in Tshwane in 2020, her membership was terminated after she was accused of sharing internal party information with the EFF.

But yeah, maybe she was one of the rogues they found. And yeah, things don't look lekka at ASA...
