Hear that mense? It's going to be a decisive victory, the Moonshot won't know what hit them.

Ramaphosa says where the ANC has not won outrightly, it should occupy the opposition benches instead of being part of instability at municipalities.

Reactions: 3WA

He said the PA had yet to commit to forming a government that was not based on a short-term scramble for positions.

The PA had pushed for a motion of no confidence, backed by the ANC, in Nelson Mandela Bay Mayor Retief Odendaal.

Steenhuisen said the DA could not reconcile working with the PA in Johannesburg while the party was determined to remove a DA mayor in the Eastern Cape metro.

"The existing ongoing arrangements the PA has with the ANC confirm that the PA is not willing to position themselves unequivocally outside the ambit of the ANC," he said.

Imagine the "political killings" as the EFF and ANC went after these jobs. But I think devolving some power and having smaller communities with local leaders could be a good thing, just not very well paying though so unlikely to find favour with the cadres.
It shouldn't be a glamorous job anyway.

Lmao.

Thapelo Amad out as CoJ Mayor. The circus in our great City continues.
The real circus is what follows, with the DA refusing to vote with the PA.

Honestly there needs to be some mechanism in the constitution that will force new elections...

They don’t need to vote. The ANC-EFF-PA coalition has a new puppet lined up no doubt.

The DA’s strategy is clear. Let these clowns fight amongst themselves for the scraps as JHB burns. It’s not worth trying to work with the enemy to solve a problem they have no interest in solving and in fact benefit from. ActionSA thinks they are being pragmatic by co-opting PA, but they are just delaying the inevitable downfall.

The DA actually has a lot of power this way. Just like the ANC has zero ability to stop loadshedding, they cannot fix JHB. DA just has to watch from the sidelines until voters come begging for help. Or until the place explodes into nothingness. Seeming like the latter way more likely

Or they can focus all their efforts on Tshwane and try to fix their mess there so that they have something to point to when they criticize the JHB government?

I would hope they are focusing all efforts on Tshwane regardless
