Well, it does look like VF+ are frustrated with DA. Corne is a big man within the party and he is trying to alert Maroela Media and Netwerk 24 as can be seen in his tweet.

Probably. Uncle Gayton might be their candidate for Mayor.

And PA will probably vote with Doomsday, again... And of course, the other potential Moonshot okes will try and get quick wins again by screaming how "evil and arrogant" DA is, again.

I don't get why people/parties are so shocked and horrified by the DA refusing to work with PA. The PA has betrayed the Moonshot coalitions nationwide countless times, they work with the ANC nationwide... The PA is even leading a MONC against the Moonshot in NMB alongside ANC... And now people expect the DA, to be giggly and just be friends with people who've thrown them to the wolves countless times? I don't get it, maybe I'm not high IQ enough...

Lol, the FF+ has no-where else to go for coalition partners. The DA and FF will always be coalition partners. It's just one of those facts of life.

The FF+ has benefited a lot from this arrangement, as they usually get at least one councilor as head of a certain portfolio, even if they only have 1, 2 or 3 councilors on the actual council. So it's quite good odds you will have an executive position as a FF+ councillor in municipalities where the DA requires a coalition partner.

No, I haven't cause they aren't. The entire "arrogance" meme is the other opp parties trying to gain the upper hand over DA in the eyes of the electorate. It's a classic strategy.

LOL, I doubt "the people" want any such thing. If a vote is re-run, no one would get a majority at any of the GP metros. The PA's proposition was not a safe one for Joburg and I agree with the DA refusing to work with them. The same PA were at that news conference blaming the DA for destabilizing coalitions. Them and the ANC. Total hypocrites especially when this latest crisis was of the PA's making at the ANC's behest.
 
I wonder if Gayton has been offered Joburg's mayorship. He did say he's withdrawing but them running back to the ANC and EFF must mean they got something.

I think the ANC could take Tshwane off the DA if elections were to happen tomorrow, not because there is anything special they are doing, merely because the DA has messed up so much that the ANC no longer looks that bad to the electorate there.

They won't give it to him, the idea is to give it to another no name, Gayton has the potential of making the ANC look very bad because he will actually deliver if he gets the job, the ANC wouldn't want that.

Not sure how you think they will get 51% and yes, they are the second most popular party on Mybb (after DA) so they do have significant popularity here.

They will probably grow though. They will take more votes off the DA.
