Looks like their are business arrangements in place between Hersov and Gayton. They probably are doing business together.

It was evident from the start that Hersov was a bit "different" yet suggestions otherwize were shot down when he was campaigning and praise singing for DA.

I'm fully expecting the same thing...

And it also shows up the naivety of ASA thinking the PA would come back to the coalition really, He was playing the ANC/EFF for more power.

It's funny tho... I mean there were many conspiracy theories here in the thread as to why DA won't Phalatse forward, etc...

The fact that they and VF+, etc are willing to trust PA so easily especially after they've thrown Moonshot to the wolves countless times is a bit laughable tbh...

The only condition was to get rid of Amad, not to offer him the mayorship.

Its hugely laughable really, but in some ways its understandable in that the ASA and VF+ etc are desperate to try get into power that they will trust someone like Gayton... the DA does seem to show a bit more maturity and know that any coalition agreement that has the PA as a "king maker" is not worth the paper its written on. The PA can only be trusted if they don't hold the ability to collapse everything for a better deal.

Amad's sin seems to have been to open his mouth and remove the lingering doubt of whether of not he was a clueless moron.

I assume the next puppet will be gagged and only allowed to speak from prepared script.

The last thing the ANC would want to do is to hand the PA the metro on the eve of an election, Gayton can make them look very bad.

Let's just wait for it but it will not be Gayton. They are going to find someone timid with no position and conviction who will just go with the flow, not a disruptor like Gayton.

Also look out for Colleen Makhubele, she has the right persona for the job, they might elevate her to mayor and get another speaker.

I honestly don't trust Gayton's word... he's a snake and we all know it.

As for him making the ANC look bad, I very much doubt it... he would be placed in the Mayors chair but have much of his power curtailed if you ask me. I would very much question any of the claims that Gayton made about service delivery in the Karoo.. the bits and pieces I saw looked like lipstick on a pig really.

If its not Gayton, it will be someone just as useless as the new ex-mayor.
