The SA Politics Thread Part 3

Zille is 72 years old. Wouldn't it be reasonable if she offers someone else the opportunity?
I think she would then be in great position to expand her mentorship to more young and upcoming DA politicians.
People are elected, this isn't a succession. There is nothing wrong with Zille anyway, very rare to find a politician with morals and integrity and knows where the line is drawn and doesn't cross it for anything. That rubs other people up the wrong way. Anyway, age is just a number.

Even google doesn't know who she is:
A quick Google search will yield information about almost any individual, but in Phenyane’s case little was found on her after the announcement, not even a photo of her. She has no social media presence, no WhatsApp and no articles had been written about her.

Zille may be a good leader but there needs to be great opportunities for the younger politicians within the DA.

Anyway that's just my opinion. We can agree to disagree.

She must really hate being a doctor.

She wants to emulate The Prince from the Great House of Phindangene, when she finally leaves she is going to assume the position of life President of the DA.

Chatsworth will never be in the ANC's hand ever again after the DA swept the wards there in 2016 and 2021.

We can only hope.

And it seems there's a new offensive by DA brewing. Would be nice to see ConCourt strike down these new amendments.

I can agree with you. But she's been reelected for the time being (until 2026 if she doesn't retire after the 2024 elections).

I think the thing about FedEx Chair is that someone who's had substantial party experience and precisely knows the day-to-day workings of the party (Like her or hate her, Gogo has it), would be suitable for it. You can't shove an oke in there because "young". You need to elect an oke who you know can do the job and who knows what to do.

Now to make an example, I also like some of the younger people, like GHL, Pappas, Phalatse, Nyati, Brink, Gwarube, etc, but you must ask yourself how will they perform in that role.
