The DA shouldn't be shy kicking some tenders in their direction.

I'd be surprised if Carl actually has ambitions. I'd think his party was formed more strategically to take away support from the ANC to allow his (RET) faction to gain more power. Similar to the Purple Cow who we all know formed in 2019 to take away DA support to give the more centre-right faction of the party more power over the centre-left faction who they felt were taking over. They have since all become all pro DA again as well.

The Purple Cow succeeded in achieving its aim hence dissolved. I don't think Carl will. He will take one or two thousand votes at most which is negligible in a national election.

And getting some high profile RETs would be part of the plan, how is he going to take support away from the ANC if everyone is avoiding him?
 
Some here argue that educated people make the best voting choices which isin't true. Sizwe Mpofu Walsh is smarter than almost of us here (lets just be honest) and has a PHD from Oxford yet has views which go against the bulk of Mybb.

He has notions of grandeur. I don't think he is totally all together mentally. Could be PTSD etc from his time back in the day which some of the SADF guys also suffer from.

No idea why you even bother with the high IQ crowd, people are selfish and will vote for a party that looks after their own interests, even when that is at the expense of others, that's how the National Party was able to rule for as long as they did, the high IQ people who were allowed to vote knew it was not the best choice by any stretch of the imagination but it looked after their interests, and that was all that mattered.

PhD in politics. Yawn, almost anyone can get a Ph.D. in that flowery subject. I might sit up and notice if it was a subject where flowery language isn't tolerated: mathematics, physics etc. The fact that he got completely owned by a guy who has far less formal education than himself makes me question the value of his PhD. Btw, many of the most hardcore communists in the West were intellectuals or who attended top universities (e.g. the infamous Cambridge Five). Btw, I didn't say better-educated people made better voting choices, I just said that Gayton is unlikely to get many of his votes from educated people.

He was anti Rhodes but then went to do his PHD in UK, one of most imperialistic nations, basically compromising himself as "struggle" person.

Not sure how smart he is but I would take person with common sense before person with political degree.

Northwood is maybe 6 or 7th in terms of the old Model C schools, and in terms of fees I wouldn't even put it in the top 20.

He studied in the UK for a few years, but never finished anything. You telling me he didnt even have money to finish a Unisa degree.

I call bull on his claims to have not had enough money.

If Malema attended Northwood and made the same claims, many here would be questioning him.

R61k for a state school is expensive and it's in a bracket that most South Africans can't afford.
