You indicated they should merge which wont work though. They disagree fundamentally on other issues like religion etc. VF+ are mostly strong Bible believing Xians and while most Zulus identify loosely as Xian and adopt elements of Xianity into their culture, they have plenty of aspects which are considered heathen by your NG Kerk types.
And if they adopt a broad, Christian democratic model? Since both relatively identify as Christian, they can surely find a middle ground?

To be fair, that you-know-who-I-am tantrum is how our current crop behave and he'd fit right in on that score. He just doesn't come across as any sort of competent leader.
A leader would have accepted he is in the wrong and that rules apply to him the same as for everyone... Agreed.

Not going to work. Their versions of Christianity are about as different as Christianity and Islam itself. Ancestor worship which is a fundamental aspect of Zulu culture would be considered "of the Devil" to your fanatical Christians.

End of the day, DA is more competible with VF+ than IFP.

Ever wondered why there are so many defections from DA to VF+ and so few to IFP?

Yes but SA needs a strong leader now to fix decades of problems. Not someone who uses their authority to throw a tantrum.
That's relative. One oke's strong leader is the other's shite leader...

And it's exactly because of that "we need only strongman/strong leader" outlook that we got the wonderful Zuma era...

The quicker we can move away from "strong leader uber alles" mentality, the better.

I mean even Rama was considered a "strong leader" and look now...

A strong leader is someone that is qualified for the job and will ensure their cabinet works well.

You took my post the wrong way.

Tbh anything would be better than Rama's perpetual shock and Zuma's antics... Surely. Well, maybe not CiC...
The same guy who is doing everything is his power to avoid accountability in Hammanskraal where his party governs? when is he going to face the masses there? You can't be a President and a coward at the same time.

Absolutely, but there is an element of needing a "strong" leader for the next 10 or so years.. but by strong leader I mean someone who is prepared to make the hard decisions and follow through with them. This consensus bollocks is a huge handbrake for the country.

This is what I meant...

In the DA, Helen Zille would make a president who could get **** done. She's a strong leader. Alan Winde maybe a more distant second. John wouldn't make a top 10. Can anyone actually what it is he's done to prove his leadership creds?

Yes you can, Cyril is a perfect example of just how to do that.
