Despite the distractions Gwamanda is hard at work, unlike the DA who did not care about dealing with corruption. Sources close to him says the man is very inspired and want to emulate the leadership of Panyaza.

A large section of the DA like EFF and ANC are career politicians so they will do what they have to do to help them. If they have to work with corrupt people like the IFP etc, they will do so and only call them out once/if they become a threat like they are doing with Gayton now. Honestly, though at this moment in time, Gayton is coming out the better of the two and this will show at the polls next year. For all we know, the ANC could also be spurring Gayton on in order to divide and conquer the Moonshot Pact and to disrupt it.

The only genuine politicians really are (some) of the independents and smaller parties but they too eventually (almost) always get compromised when they get bigger followings and money/jobs etc come into play.

That's his weakness which I think will be exposed by CR. CR with all his flaws is the most composed of them all. He also exploited Mmusi's weakness to get emotional like JS towards MM's demise.
I agree. CR is a businessman. He knows how to negotiate and how to tip the scales in his favour.

It would have been so epic if we could have a WWE style debate between the leaders of the main political parties like they do in the USA before the elections.
And to get Biden or Trump as presidents ? No, thanks. Our system is fine. Corrupt leaders should be bleddy hanged in public and then everything will be fine.

Good. I mean. Great.
It's true. WC, KZN and GP are the three provinces that dictate the tone for national elections because of their economic stature and population size (the three biggest provinces in population size and of course, voter base).

In 2019, ANC got 50.1% in GP, 55% in KZN and 28% in WC.

If they fall below 40% in KZN and GP, and sub-20% in WC... They definitely won't break 45%.

They still will get home with the likes of Al Jamaah, PA, UDM etc. They won't need EFF or DA next time. EFF is also their more likely coalition partner if they need one as a DA coalition could lead to a further split in the tripartite alliance.

As things stand, PA will do very well next year, in their best case scenario, 3-6%.

Did the DA run away when it was voting time because they knew they were going to lose, hence the quorum argument?

Fantastic for democracy in Western Cape to see other parties gaining control of places. Strong opposition is always needed.

It depends. Juju mentioned that he won't work with Rama... (Although he flip-flops at the speed of light...)

The 6% is a bit positive...

I'd say in the range of 1 - 3%...
