The SA Politics Thread Part 3

The dude can barely lead the IFP but they want him to lead the country? :ROFL:

I also don't think it's best given that the IFP appeals to a very specific segment of the SA electorate and has literally nothing to say to people who aren't Zulu nationalists. Geographic support for IFP is very concentrated in KZN as well. Honestly, I think Action SA should be offered the presidential position.

It was either him or Mashaba.

Although I have my reservations about Hlabisa (since IFP is relatively conservative), he already would be an improvement over the past two ANC presidents.

I found this very interesting:

That is because the DA knows the Moonshot is not coming anywhere close to the Union Buildings, it's similar to how they used to nominate Joe Seremane for President when the NA voted for President, because they knew he was not going to get the votes.

It's not? Wtf is it's purpose then?

Bunch of idiots :ROFL:
It gets some credibility that way, otherwise it becomes,

The ANC says political parties that formed coalition governments in municipalities where it lost power have less in common than a "crowd of drunkards", "ganging up" to keep the ANC out of power. |
@ZintleMahlati

They don't want to be called a Moonshot of drunks.

The point is they aren't all there and gonna work together because they hate the ANC, they're there to offer an actual, alternative government to SA.
There's nothing scandalous, they should be man enough to stand by their hatred for the Liberation Movement, they cannot start this great Moonshot foundation on lies, the truth shall set them free.

The purpose is to form a ruling coalition and government. It is better if they don't define themselves as opposition to the ANC. None of the other parties but the DA really define themselves that way.
To be fair the DA has recently redifined themselves as an opposition to the EFF.
