Looks like the writing is on the wall for the Moonshot in Mogale City. The Speaker has balls though for trying to fire everyone from the EFF and the ANC.

Court orders reinstatement of 40 fired Mogale City councillors

The 40 - from EFF and the ANC - have been trying to sponsor the removal of Speaker Jacqueline Pannal, mayor Tyrone Gray and chief whip Lesego Lekoto.

It is an interesting "move" albeit has been overriden by the courts.

What are the actual job requirements for City councillors? How many meetings do they have to attend, etc etc?

No idea, but it's a well known tactic to collapse proceedings by not attending if you feel you are going to lose, the Moonshot pulled the same stunt in Tshwane.

Oh 100%, its a known tactic, and one that pisses me off from any side.

I voted for a representative in council, and as a ratepayer their salary is covered by my rates and such... I expect them to have minimum attendance KPIs in all honesty.

I think one is allowed to burn their house down if they miss any meetings.

Foreigners bad.
Steenhuisen wife stealer.

Throw in the usual promises of service delivery and jobs...

Pappas has much of the ANC running fscking scared, his type of person is ultimately the future of this country and they don't like it, they can't feed at the trough.
