Nah an actor needs to fundamentally know the difference between fantasy and reality and that is something beyond our man there.

You are overthinking it. A bunch of Zulus voted against a Venda because he was bossing around a chief Zulu.

The writing of their decline has been on the wall for years. They prophesied renewal but it was all lip service. They're incapable of meaningful introspection me thinks. If they let their base selves rule, it'll accelerate their decline even more.

I have said this previously and got seriously lambasted for it at the time, although it seems with time people now see the sense in it.

It depends though, ANC and DA, at the time it was to shut out the EFF, this time it is now serious since we now have to deal with Zuma who is even worse than the EFF.

IFP, ANC and DA are very close in numbers in KZN so hopefully they don't waste any time, just hope the IFP don't go full tribal.

Nationally the ANC /DA won't make sense as their policy positions are just too different, so maybe a more humble EFF, I would still prefer the PA to be in the mix, strictly for the illegal immigration thing, they can sit down and tone the rhetoric down, but it is a fact that the ANC on its own is not committed to solving that crisis.

I'm just glad you've accepted defeat. You can still keep calling the DA a 20% party and that they "underperformed"

But the ANC has:

- Lost majority at National level (!5% loss in support)
- Lost majority in KZN
- Lost majority in GP
- Risks majority in NC (99% of votes counted, still under 50%)

The DA has not lost any support but didn't grow much it seems.

So, by metrics alone, we can conclude the ANC was the worst performing party this time round - by a long way.

We have been telling you for months now, that they would loose national majorty and you simply refused and mocked us. We have also been telling you for months that Lesufi would be out of a job after elections and GP would not see a majority. You kept posting "Less talk, more work!" Tweets - I think it's now just "Less talk" from your bra.

Anyway, we can forgive you. You're a die hard ANC supporter - and glad you have accepted defeat.

I feel that the ANC/ DA policies are similar- sometimes worded differently. But their voter bases just needs to suck up the bitter arrangement.

Things like:

-Universal health coverage
-Empowerment (just not on racial basis on the DAs side)

Continued socialist like policies.

I believe the best outcome for SA is an ANC/DA coalition in all places where they can make up the majority. Which is just National and GP at the moment.

They are very similar, but come from different angles.

Also the ANC has a tendency to fall towards the populist because it gets them "support", and maybe one small take away from this election will be the ANC getting shown that populism in that fashion doesn't get them votes. Panty's "Less talk more work" crap backfired in GP, the NHI signing has backfired.. etc etc.

This country needs some hard choices being made that will not go down well with the general electorate because the benefits will take a decade to become visible and tangible.

I would vote for the ANC if they actually made the lives of South Africans better. But it's because they made lives worse that people didn't go vote for them. Unfortunately the ANC only cares for the ANC.
