The ANC has actually the most choices in this situation- and will be the ones who are consulting with all sides.

There are other options besides the MK, which is the EFF+1.
Of course there are many other options. There are lots of iterations of the doomsday coalition, none of which involve CR. The DA-ANC (soft) alliance seems like the most logical choice. I am not at all implying that the ANC is logical though.

Reality is that the ANC is nothing without CR. If he goes they are toast. Why do you think he's limped along like a corpse the past 5 years. Any doomsday coalition without the DA would last a couple of months max, after which the total collapse of the economy would invoke a motion of no confidence.

Seconded. The moment he's gone (whether its by force or second term completion), the ANC is done. There is no one else with the "struggle credentials" and people's popularity among them who could do something else.

2024 was the beginning of the end. 2029 is the end.

The DA did have a very average, stagnant performance. If you ever want them to run the country they cannot grow by 1 or 2% each election. Something needs to happen for them to get a 20% jump.

Hopefully in the coalition government they can get control of education and police.

The did in fact grow in this election. Its slight. But they did grow.

Yeah. 1 or 2% isn't enough. It is a real problem.

Now the woke fix of installing another experiment is stupid. I don't have a fix or people don't like my suggestion of no women should be allowed to vote.
