Our population has been growing forever and ever and yet here we are up s**t creek without a paddle, same as USA and wherever socialism is taking over. How will reading a book stop us from getting poorer?

I don't know. Tito isn't Malaysian so why go there? Why not study in SA?

It's not like Malaysian has a more prestigious university. I geuss I can respect him for not going to Havard or someone left leaning western shíthole.

Another feather? SA economy not looking too flash for some time (GDP per capita declining since 2011 or so, government borrowing increasing since at least then, Eskom, SAA etc still gobbling bailouts). ANC lackeys getting fatter by the day.

Maybe it would have helped if he'd done the degree before being finance ministah.

Not it wouldn't

Minimum wage is so low it wouldn't make a difference. Most jobs are in the informal sector anway and people earn what ever they make.
The only thing that will make a difference is if government become more business friendly and don't over legistate the labour industry.

They need to make it easier to employ people and move their companies back to SA. So many SA businesses just have a presence locally but actually reside overseas.
All their employees are contractors which means no one has job security and everyone pays an extra "contractor" tax.

IFP president Velenkosini Hlabisa is tipped to take his seat as second deputy president in the West Wing of the Union Buildings once the seventh administration takes shape under a government of national unity (GNU).

According to several sources close to negotiations, the ANC is strongly leaning towards a GNU with the DA and the IFP, which will see whoever is elected as president reconfigure the makeup of the executive Cabinet to include a second deputy president.

Speculation is rife that Hlabisa could serve alongside Paul Mashatile as deputy president.

The National Assembly Speaker's position, which the DA could likely take on, is also being debated in the talks.

@TheChamp - you see even an ANC insider is calling the DA smart. You see that's why high IQ people support them. :p

News24 understands that the DA wants to play an oversight role and hold strategic ministerial positions in the GNU.

The insider added:
