its a good move, rather than whataboutism, lead by example maintain your standards.
They are a junior parter in the GNU with large parts of the ANC happy to dump them for MKP/EFF which would be highly damaging to the country.
They will be held to a higher standard, they are in government and MKP/EFF aren't let that be a victory and solace when complaining about comments in the past by JZ and JM.
The prospect of a strong GNU is more important than defending some angry man bun.

This was all a very clever move by the DA to distract from other issues and also to show that they're "taking action" against racists.

How refreshing, a political party that can act.

ANC or EFF member only gets suspended after a lengthy court case and then in some cases they even carry on from prison.
