Gouws has being doing this stuff for ages on various social media platforms - its only just caught up with him now that the was was nominated as an MP. My opinion is that the DA are ok with his brand of white supremacy as long as he didn't use certain "rude" words

Like I said, DA would be stupid on a plain strategic level if they just left him be and did nothing.

Proof that all that stringent selection criteria the DA keeps harping about is a lie, the only difference is that most people are not as committed as Renaldo was.
 
Sigh bad journalism again, the video was before the WC 2010, if they watched the video they'd know this. You know how, cause he literally says and in 90 days we have the world cup in South Africa

We never had a world cup in South Africa in 2012, so this video was done exactly 14 years and about 3 months ago considering it was June 11 2010

Yeah, but JS reaction when asked about the previous one was very soft. Guess this one was the last straw. Suspending him was certainly the right thing to do.

I remember watching Renaldos videos back in the day. There was a pretty clear racist undertone many times. I didn't see the video that's now resurfaced but honestly not surprised.

He got very upset in 2020 when other racist deleted videos of his came to light. He said that he was a victim of woke liberals, msm and other such buzzwords.

He deleted all his old videos when he started to become involved in the DA in PE because it exposed him. He then says he's a victim when anyone brings them up.
 
We I was in school we had lessons about the danger of a bad digital footprint, remember once its online its there forever.
I don't understand how people think, if you not willing to shout it out on TV and to the person you are speaking about then don't post it. There is no anonymity on the internet no how smart you think you are, everything can always be linked back to you, if there are enough people spending enough time looking for it. like when you assume public office.

Whilst I disagree with the views and say the context is important here; the DA are doing the right thing by taking swift action and suspending him until they have investigated more.

Regardless of what anyone of us thinks; it is over for him and maybe a lesson for others. If you're going to use such language, best you stand by it when it does blow back.

He is trending on Twitter right now and a lot of people are recounting their personal issues with him, so I imagine a lot?
 
It's like Trump on his first election campaign when it didn't look like he was going to win he spent a lot of time tell everyone he won't win because the elections will be rigged.
Then he won but I suppose if you win then its fair and square.

I think the best someone can do who knows there's "dirt" on them is to get ahead of it.

As soon as he took the MP role, a post describing any questionable conduct and behavior in his past as being something he regrets, that he accepts the role with dignity/decorum and responsibility, and sincerely requests the public to hold him especially in line forthwith might have saved him?

I guess that's what I might try/do (with sincerity if I was genuinely trying to be a good guy), even if it still backfires.
