uBaba won't work with Cyril's ANC.

And even if he did work with them, he commands the lion's share of the vote, so they'll just get whatever scraps he deems fit for them. With IFP+DA they'll all get more or less an equal share.

They don't seem to have many options.

Suppose that's true. ubaba wants Ramaphosa out and started this MK to gain the leverage for his removal. Guess if the ANC RET have the numbers to force CR out, he'd give the MK vote back to the ANC.

With counting underway, it's not looking great for parties that staged strong campaigns in Gauteng boasting financial backing. One such party was Rise Mzansi. The party received 1 860 votes from the regional ballot at 10.05%, updated at 11:04.

On the provincial ballot, 11.26% of the votes counted, the party received 2 210 votes so far.

KZN ANC might be likely to work with MK, but the national ANC would be very much against that. Depends if the Premier has as much leverage as Lesufi apparently has over the ANC NEC.

I think CR still hold power in ANC NEC. So he might not be replaced.

I don't think Lesufi has as much leverage over the NEC as he likes to portray.

But I wouldn't be surprised if the KZN ANC do initially try work with MK and then find out they're second fiddle and not like that one little bit and pivot to other parties where its a more equal arrangement.

With 92 percent of the votes reported, the DA has 41.5 percent of the vote to the ANC's 29.6 and Gangster Party's (the PA) 15.2 percent. This is on the provincial ballot.

National ballot is basically the same. BOSA in third.
