Realistically they won't be able to get rid of BEE either. They should focus on reworking it to close the loopholes that allow for abuse...

Yah, because Cereal is the only one responsible for that and none of the others who surround him have any hand in that.... (/s)


I'm no Cereal fan but I do recognise that he has had an unenviable job with all those hyenas around him - unlike you, the rest of us don't have the luxury of not having to choose the least worst of the lot

I forgot to add: scrap the labour laws so you can fire someone without giving them a dozen letters first.
 
Any party that does not bring votes does not enter the GNU.
IFP gets a seat because they are needed in KZN to keep EFF/MK away, and to act as a moderating influence for the more radical ANC people. (Also strategic to get the Zulu vote back in the fold after MK).

All other somewhat reasonable parties like ActionSA, FF+, Good, Rise, BOSA, should form an opposition block to keep this coalition viable.

I did a 15 member cabinet, according to how many the DA thinks there should be:

Current cabinet has far too many overlaps. They have to reduce the number of portfolios such that the ministers don't step on each other's toes.

Difficulty of getting everyone to work together increases exponentially with the size of the number of people. Getting the ANC and DA to have very different portions of the government is absolutely critical if you want it to work. The parties need to be able to maintain their individual identities.

That can't happen if you have McKenzie, Malema or Mashaba sitting in the corner throwing their toys out the cot the moment they cannot get what they want.

What do the top 2 do? Only employment is clear there but where does energy, SOEs, minerals, fishery, fall under?

Dunno. Perhaps lump them all together as one?

Uhm, how about Minister of Trade and Industry? Now that has a nice ring to it!
