Without a doubt yes.

I am not sure that any electoral system itself would fix the problem unfortunately though. I'd hazard a guess that a direct representation system would actually make it worse because we all know that the average person is a fscking retard.

The problems, as always, is that each system be it universal franchise or qualified franchise has pit falls.

Also, given the state of the citizenry in this country, I would say that a qualified franchise type of system has significantly MORE pitfalls than universal franchise at this point in time.

TBH, I am on Champy's side with this, Cameron is not a good fit for the position regardless of his qualifications currently.

He needs a few years in politics at the highest level first.

On the contrary, this election has proven me wrong that it is kind of working. It just needs a bit of tweaking.

This will just further erode confidence in the EFF and drop their support even more.

If we directly elected a president, we could be sitting with a populist despot and this conversation would be completely different...
 
Can you imagine being a member of parliament now with all this change at least they can say they were there when it happened. Its history in the making
