The funny thing about that is the other day during the Ukraine Parliamentary debate when John was talking, some MPs heckled him with the "Go get your Matric" meme. I find that the people who unironically persist with this meme look even less educated since the guy does have Matric but no further qualifications. (Listening and Reading comprehension in SA aren't popular skills...)

It depends on the type of degree... The ones they have clearly don't teach them much practical stuff for the real world.

Good thing he never pursued that politics qualification, it would have been more scandalous.

I would also question the brightness of anyone who doesn't understand that politicians would say anything that would get them support and votes.

A language degree is fine, political science to a degree (pun) as well, but a philosophy degree? What do you even learn while studying for a philosophy degree?
