Sorry if this may have already been discussed. But the EFF are killing themselves with this Nhlanhla Lux issue. Should have not gotten involved in my opinion, as they have towed the line carefully on this recent immigrant issue.

But hey, it was fun while it lasted. 9 years is pretty long for a political party formed after the new democracy to last (in terms of relevance I mean).

It was a grave error of judgement and its not going to end well for them, I think they are starting to get comfortable after a few elections under their belt.

They desperately tried to maintain relevancy as well as keep ASA at bay since probably most of Dudula would probably vote ASA (cause immigration stances). EFF's bullshit finally working against them is also a welcome sight to see.

Btw how do you think EFF would do in 2024?

I'm really shocked that a party which exists on a populist narrative went the other way. Pan-Africanism isn't as prevalent locally as they would like to believe.

It's still a long way so there is still a chance to regroup, you can see they are worried, looking at their recent foreigner audit exercise.

Their supporters are very loyal so I think they will still be somewhere just below the 10% mark.

Yeahp. But being the bigots they are, you're either stupid, racist, anti-black or a "clever black" if you disagree with them. They will be the reason of their own downfall.

If I remember correctly (I stand to be corrected), nobody said jack when they forced themselves into restaurants demanding to see company-sensitive data.

Yeah, most SAns don't buy the "no borders in Africa" bit. Actually many SAns are for strong immigration laws/border control surprisingly (that's one of the major selling points of ASA).

Shame the ruling party messed up big time with that border fence. That was free votes to be won!

""They arrived in 30 cars and pounced on him soon after his interview with Kaya FM on Thursday afternoon. His arrest raises more questions than answers. I met with him at the holding cells.

You think the court will be able to jail him or will this egg end up on the EFF's face?
I don't think so, I doubt they assaulted the guy, most likely the EFF exaggerating things so I don't think the charges will stick, even if something does it won't result in jail time.

The EFF does have a problem though, prepare yourself for another flip flop and some stunt similar to the restaurant one they pulled recently.

I'm a little out of the loop; what's this thing with EFF and the whole, Nhlanhla Lux issue?

Nhlanhla Lux is a well loved community leader in Soweto and the EFF got him arrested for leading a raid at the home of a suspected drug dealer who happens to be an EFF member.

It's this:
Nhlanhla Lux is a well loved community leader in Soweto and the EFF got him arrested for leading a raid at the home of a suspected drug dealer who happens to be an EFF member.

Also, EFF desperately trying to stop movements like Dudula and eventually ASA (cause immigration stances) from stealing their voters or turning their voters against them.
Think of it as a desperate banzai charge against irrelevancy/losing support.
