Good. I remember the shittons of complaints by my fellow students on Telegram over NSFAS.

I wouldn't be surprised if the SIU finds grand corruption or something at NSFAS.
Kinda makes the audits they conduct (internal and external) useless. You shouldn't be able to have grand corruption if you are auditing with integrity. Internal auditors are probably easy to coopt and external ones aren't really able to get to the details.

NSFAS does have many problems including a lot of students who use it for the stipend rather than the studying. And a lot funded who shouldn't because they are not studying what gets funded. And probably many ghosts too. They need to get strict with what they fund or at least assign priorities and ensure they study and pass.

People still fighting over polls?
Mostly people taking Dawie to task, since any poll that dares poll the DA above 20 - 21 is not ok in Dawie's eyes.

And of course, implying any poll that rates the DA above that is somehow not credible or it must be the doing of the IRR.

Now knowing Dawie used to work at the DA, it makes more sense why he doesn't like it when the DA scores higher or when they improve vote share.

Winston’s heart sank. That was doublethink. He had a feeling of deadly helplessness. If he could have been certain that O’Brien was lying, it would not have seemed to matter. But it was perfectly possible that O’Brien had really forgotten the photograph. And if so, then already he would have forgotten his denial of remembering it, and forgotten the act of forgetting. How could one be sure that it was simple trickery? Perhaps that lunatic dislocation in the mind could really happen: that was the thought that defeated him.

Fcking pigs. Went to town Saturday morning, on the way back drove into a road blockage. Fckers closed the roads going past the civic center. No warnings fokol. So half the town (Pay weekend) gets to a fcking roadblock, make a U turn and drive a moerse detour.
Went past there this morning. Just litter all over. Pigs. Animals. Spit.

Yeah, weird how the ASA fanboys/girls get all tight about polling when it puts them at only 5 - 6%. Probably it hurts ASA supporters that their Twitter support isn't translating into actual support but they should also realise they have very little presence outside of urban Gauteng and some oddball places in KZN. Effectively zero presence in South Africa's other 7 provinces, so why should it be surprising they are polling in mid single digits?

Yeah. They think they'll landslide with 40% and the DA will get <10%. And if you disagree... Then all hell breaks loose.

So far, they only contested one by-election outside Gauteng. That was in NMB, where they got 8% of the vote in the ward (although going by Twitter, it was going to be an ASA landslide).

And every time the DA polls above 20%, they lose their ****, since according to them, DA will fall off the map any moment now...

Even COPE, EFF and UDM polled in single digits in their first elections.

UDM got 3% in 1999.
COPE got 7% in 2009.
EFF got 6.5% in 2014.

So how does ASA think they'll sommer get 20%+ in their first election?

Even the DP (precursor to DA) only got 1.7% in 1994 with their first election.
