I've said it before, and I'm saying it again. Steenhuisen, Maimane, Zille etc. are not the DA. The DA is a large party with many members of different values, beliefs and personalities. It is not a dictatorship: presidents do not wield absolute power. If the DA wins, sure, Steenhuisen will be president, but the party will be ruling.
True. The DA is the only political party with a stable leadership structure where if Steenhuisen were to resign, there'd be a number of suitable candidates to take his place. Not so obvious in the case of the EFF and Action SA and to a lesser extent the ANC (generally the biggest political party would have many candidates, however, the quality of ANC politicians is so mind-numbingly low, it's hard to get excited by any of them. Same sh*t, different day in the case of the ANC).
