The butthurt party. The sooner the ASA voters see this and come back to the DA the better.

Not completely, the DA's 2016 vote share essentially fractured with said fracture moving to ASA in the Gauteng metros.

I agree with Gareth's view over the DA, they stumbled and fumbled from 2019 to last year. But are now back on track.
 
I saw a post in this thread or elsewhere saying something about the eThekwini metro planning some energy thing to ween themselves off Eskom. So, this afternoon the guy in charge of their energy whatever gets interviewed and apparently their energy mix includes nuclear! So the interviewer asks him how they plan on getting nuclear. Lol, I have never heard such meaningless waffle from a person in charge of energy in my life. They say they also plan on including coal and when asked how that fits in with the just energy transition he waffles some meaningless drivel about carbon capture. Yoh! It is obvious the city has no plan other than this obvious fantasy and will continue to rely on Eskom, but will waste billions on feasibility studies to tell that they are fantasizing, lol.

Not sure where the evidence for that comes from, but we'll see at the next polls. I believe Dawie has asked this question but instead got defensive responses from the DA instead of showing how they are on the up.

I have a conspiracy theory. Helen Zille and Herman Mashaba sat down and realised (correctly) that the DA had a ceiling with black voters, and moving towards black voters meant sacrificing the old white core. So Zille went radical (cater to the conservative white, and win them back from VF+) and Mashaba suddenly developed a problem with Zille and went off to make ActionSA (cater to the black voter whose home is not in the ANC). And they know that they'll end up in coalitions so voting for either one is much of a muchness.

The by-elections since the LGE. They've taken wards off ANC and ANC allies. They've successfully defended wards and improved vote share in most of them.

So yeah, that's the evidence so far.

I heard it was like R300billion or something they want and it's plans for 2035 and the city has an annual budget of R55billion.
