What type of voodoo DA does to a DA member when they are in DA ? The moment they leave DA, they become incompetent, corrupt, troll and all things bad. As long as they are in DA, they are paragons of virtue.

Actually the opposite is true. As soon as they leave the DA they become the best they ever had.

Notice the difference. While ASA moans and just creates more ill will towards coalitions, the DA actually gets things done. I assume they are paying for this litigation from their own pocket?
Well, they are the ones who have the most to lose, they must fight their own fight.

That vid was from the interview held on Big Daddy Liberty's channel.

P.S I haven't watched it.

Yeah...

Even if it was on Big Daddy Liberty's channel, its still social media in my opinion so to be taken with a truck load of salt....

ASA really need to eject Beaumont if he was the instigator of this crap tbh. Herman needs to grow a backbone and fire his fscking ass.

Dunno.

What do you think of the new info from the post btw?
I don't see the scandal, I think ActionSA did mention that they were of the view that the position should go to the IFP, I wasn't aware that it was a secret or something unknown. Nowhere did I see anything about anyone claiming the IFP asked for the position so I am not really sure what exactly does Schreiber think he has exposed.

So whats your take on ASA effectively trying to change the terms of a signed coalition agreement after the fact?

The guy wrote Herms’ biography. He’s sycophant number 1 and ain’t going anywhere. Compare to Brett Heron. I remember when we were also told he was a shining light that the DA has lost . Now literally goes to bat for the ANC

Yeah I know, we all know that politics is a toxic game of self-enrichment in this country, but you would expect some people to have a bit of ethics and standards even so.

I don't think it's anything extraordinary, I am of the view the secret to a successful coalition is in managing it, as ActionSA has said, there has been concessions before in terms of positions despite the signed agreement, so if ever they felt there was a need to alter something there is no harm in proposing such a suggestion, it can either be rejected or accepted.

Treating the agreement like its something cast in stone, even when things are falling apart does not sound very progressive to me.

So I agree that a coalition will see some shifting and changing over time, but doing so less than 12 months after the start and before any changes in governance and service delivery can be solidified is suspect in the extreme.

There also seems to be no indication that this was raised in the Coalition Steering Group (or whatever its called) and that the ASA was pushing this idea outside of those structures which is very underhanded.

Granted this bollocks between ASA and the DA is a bit of a sideshow in my opinion. Gayton was going to fsck the coalition over regardless in my opinion.
