If anything Mashaba would be "sticking to his principles" if ASA worked with the ANC unlike the flip floppers in the DA who worked to get BEE introduced to party policy before backtracking and going full on Trump right wing.

It's been going on for many years.

Mbali is very qualified and people less qualified and who did less work than her were parachuted to national DA leadership. She was a former DA Youth Leader and had a fight with Zille, initially around 2014 that prevented her from going to national parliament.

I think Mashaba might be looking for ways out. I mean he could have done the same last year when ASA also had a poll about coalitions when the LGEs were going on. And said if the people say ANC, he'll resign.

Something is off behind the scenes I think.

Nah, the point is if this splinter was from DA, it would be met with mass fanfare and glee from the media and commentariat. And not relative silence...

Exactly what I am saying, it comes with a territory, if you want to play with the big boys you should toughen up. If the DA is truly a big party it claims to be then the victimhood is very strange.
