Maybe if you said there could be a split after 2024 if the ANC loses power in some provinces, then it would make sense, because there would be nothing to hang around for if KZN is no longer in the RET's hands.
That might also happen as well.

Either way, ANC is ****ed.

Epic shite. DASO won at Thabazimbi (Limpopo of all places).

I see the stance in the thread is that student politics is mostly useless (and I can kinda agree with that) but it's a useful indicator of where students (youth)' heads are going. And it seems the youth are going to the opposition incl. DA.

Interesting take. Tend to agree, I think ASA is dying. Such a pity.
But why? besides the same problems that's experienced by every party they look to be in a very healthy state, I meet them almost every weekend in the places I frequent doig their door to door thing and their trailer with Mashaba's face is always driving around.

The way you guys are going on one would swear they are at COPE levels, what's happening, did I miss something perhaps?

If I were to make a prediction I would say with confidence that they are going to perform much better than any other party besides the big three in the next elections.

The pity part is the hurt feelings running off and forming new parties and diluting the DA strength. Jhb wouldn't be in this mess if the DA had a majority like Howick and Cape Town all getting on with the job.

My prediction, is a COPE level of an implosion in the next election leaving them with 1 seat with 2 bums on it.

Their promise to the electorate is to remove the ANC from power. Yet, they're doing the opposite of that and Herman seems to have a foot out the door. If he goes, ASA is a dead man walking.

I don't see this party doing well, in the next elections.

Having staff on the ground going door to door, is hardly indicative of a healthy political party.

Oh, it very much is, it shows that they still have willing supporters who market the party and the budget for the marketing, that's the reason you seldom see dead parties going around doing campaigns.

How would you define doing well? Just so that I understand the metrics you you will be using to measure their performance?

Disagree. But before we get into it, why don't you start by telling us what your definition of a healthy party is.
