I have just stated the definition in the very post you quoted, but just to expand on that, a healthy party is a relevant party, for an example this very thread cannot go 3 posts without someone mentioning ActionSA or Mashaba, how often do you see the UDM being mentioned?Disagree. But before we get into it, why don't you start by telling us what your definition of a healthy party is.
A healthy party is a visible one, ActionSA has a brand that is very visible in many parts of the country.
A healthy party is a party that is able to attract people, especially people who brings something to the table like all the ex DA leaders they have been attracting, when last did any well know political figure move to COPE, UDM, PAC or any of those parties, yes you don't remember because that's what you can describe as dead parties, not necessarily because they have ceased to exist, but simply because they can be likened to someone who has been in a coma for, yes they are alive but what's the point?
A healthy party is a party that is able to grow, they have been launching their branches all over the country.
It's not exhaustive but that's just some of the measures I use.
