Mpho Phalatse must be hounded by ASA with requests she join them.

That is pretty much the natural progression for DA politicians in Gauteng. I don't think it's going to require any hounding. She might stick around for now to get her financial affairs in order after losing out on the mayors salary, as soon as that is done she will be moving on.

But why? the best DA people went there, I think we all know that the movement of DA members towards that direction is not yet done, it could have been delayed if they held on to the metros but since that is unraveling...

Also how it works out for the DA, there must be a good reason why they are always on ASA's case don't you think? I think it could be a very uncomfortable thing for those who leave as well as those who are left behind.

The best DA members? Only Baloyi was any good. Unfortunately he has now become a wise-cracking troll whose primary job appears to be attacking the DA on twitter. From actually doing good public service as a DA mayor to a social media manager - what a demotion.

He most likely threw his chances of becoming Gauteng premier down the toilet when Mashaba sold him the ASA lie. The second biggest party in Gauteng will hold the premiership position, and it won't be ASA. I reckon most of his vitriol comes from him not expecting the DA would remain the largest urban party in SA.

With the second biggest party struggling to hold on to the mayorship of a city I would not be too confident of the premiership, perhaps it's vindication for him leaving them?

They should continue to have some support. There is this class of moaners that agree with their type of grievance politics, but who doesn't really want to solve the problems. They just want to talk about it and do nothing, like women.
