Phoned them today. They should have stock by Thursday @ R70 each (I'm guessing these aren't the real deal at that price but don't care :D)
 
i am new to this forum and i have read every page on this thread and it took me quite some time to do it (i had nothing better to do at work :rolleyes: )

i flashed my ROM from JCHJ3 to DXIA5_21210_V4 (Taril) and loaded SPB Shell 3 (very finger friendly)and so fare i haven't had any problems.

my memory storage has increased to 128.28MB giving me 42.64MB free at this current time and it looks like my battery life has improved a lot and Garmin is still working fine
The only downfall is that it dose not have spell check on it. (If any one knows of a good third party spell check please let me know)

i also installed Galarm (witch is a pretty cool alarm)
and Palringo (chat app for the people that like to be in contact with Facebook and Gmail)

Does your light sensor work with G-Alarm? Mine crashes everytime I try to activate it.
 
Upgraded to WM 6.5 today with SHOKKA9's latest ROM, as suggested by cyberarmy, and all I have to say right now is WOW!

Hehehehe, so far an awesome upgrade - really worthwhile doing.

Will report back as I continue to play!

;) So no problem with upgrade from an older ROM to this one?
 
Nope no problems - I went straight from the latest version on samsungblog.co.za to this one. Still trying to work out how to put things onto the Titanium menu/what Titanium actually is... What m2d is... and whether I like the touch flow menu more?!

I know my light sensor works... G-Alarm just doesn't like it for some reason.
Oh well, it was a 'nice to have' anyways.
Atleast the shake to snooze works :)

I use the shake one too, never tried the light sensor though...

i changed my post i do have the same problem i think it only works with HTC

i do like the shake function, but the only downfall with that is i have a habit of letting go of the phone half way threw the shake and it flys across the room :o

Samsung were releasing ROM updates very regularly, and then after DXIA5 around February, they stopped.
To me this could mean one of two things...
1) The phone software is as good as it's going to get OR
2) They're preparing a WM6.5 ROM

I'm hoping for the latter
 
I am trying to use my Omnia as a modem to my laptop . Problem is is that I go Start , programmes , internet sharing , connect . Then it says that the internet connection is pre-configured and cannot be modified .
How do I change this because surely I can use the phone as a modem , if I need to .
 
OK now I am really confused as I cant even browse on my Omnia it says I must change the connection settings , why , as I could browse yesterday . Now there seems to be a problem .

Can you browse the internet on your phone? Whar is the firmware version on your phone?

Have you tried a soft reset?
