The Samsung i900 OMNIA Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

I cant browse on my phone neither Park , I think I have tried a soft reset (the little reset button on the top) didn't help.
 
Settings (from start menu) > Connections > Operator Settings.

If it's already set to your service provider, then select another one, wait about a minute and set it back to your SP.
 
absolutely puzzling , got it fixed though . Took the sim card out , put it into my old phone booted her up , could browse . Took the sim out , put it back into my omnia and she could browse again ??????
 
Thanks Park , I just connected with usb to the net . Pretty impressed with the speed of this baby , was getting 3.2mb download and 0.19mb upload .
 
Is there a better PDF reader out there than the one shipped with the phone?
The phone one is rubbish.

Thank you for this thread. Did the firmware update as well (i900JCHJ3) which purged it of horrid Voda-spam.

Love the phone :)

I swear by DXIA5, but WM6.5 will be oficially out soon enough. :)
 
Can somebody please help me after I upgraded to the latest South African firmware, my phone signal has decreased a lot. At the office I don't even have any signal. I used to have full signal before the upgrade and I tried with another sim and still have the same problem. Is there anyway to improve my phone signal ?

And... how can I set my phone to auto disconnect from the internet ? With the previous firmware my phone auto disconnected after checking email now I have to manually disconnect after every session.
