The Samsung i900 OMNIA Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Damn thing was in Silent mode - turned screen down and now the loudspeaker won't work.
What do you mean by turned screen down?
Firstly soft reset.
See if settings>system>Motion sensor>Etiquette>Etiquette pause is selected or not (disable if enabled).

Okay then the etiquette setting is probably causing the problem. Is it active?

Yeah thanks man - ettiquette was the problem :o

Still so much for me to get used to with WM.
I really don't spend enough time with the phone :p

Thanks again - BIG TIME! :)

Anyone know why the Windows Media Player is so much softer than the Touch Player?
Also, what's the easiest way of transferring your WMP fiels on the phone to the Touch player?

New Omnia HD with 8MP cam

Guys i am looking for an automatic screen lock application...
But i don't want a multipurpose application like "Schap’s Advanced Config" ,which is capable of doing that, but includes thousands of other features that I'll probably never use. I want a simple application which has only ONE purpose...to lock the screen after "x" amount of seconds/minutes.

Any suggestions ???

There is a app called slide to unlock (S2U2) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412418

Currently I am using the following method:

Settings>buttons> wake up >tick “when device is woken up lock device”.

Start> settings>system>power>battery power >Turn off backlight if devise is not used for xx seconds

The site allows you to chose your phone type, and then automatically display's the relevant files for the phone you've selected,so in other words if you selected your phone type as Omnia, the it will only display results for 240x400 wallpapers etc.

;)
