http://www.rgbaker.demon.co.uk/PocketRemoteSound4.htm

It does exactly what I want it to do-stream pc music to phone....one catch, its not free
I have Windows media encoder and stream music to other PC's in the house by using the OPen URL command on WMP, but for some reason it wn't work on my WM phone....

Any ideas ?

Howzit guys... I had my phone for 3 days now, I have a black X1 and i have to say it is absolutely stunning phone. It feels great in the hands and handles like a dream, I am new to win mobile this is my first leap into into the unknown but i must admit the phone it is incredibly responsive and seems pretty basic to use!!

I think this is probably the best phone ever, and the best thing is that there is so many programs out there to help make my phone suit me to its best:D:D

Video on X1

I have read posts raving about video on the X1- I always thought that anyone who looks at video on his phone is nuts.

For kicks I put some video on the phone -- wow I am impressed. Its hardly going to have me watching movies on my phone instead of my the AV system at home -- but for travel coupled with a BT headset I can actually see myself using it.

It really looks good. I have never seen any phone produce such good video. Well done SE.

Here is the source of a nice free program to resize/recode video for the X1.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=467112

The above link might have posted before not sure.

My experience to date

Hi peeps

Ok have had my X1 since last year around about the same time that Piesang took his back, and this is also my first WM phone so thought i would get use to it first before posting etc

Anyways have been playing around got the GPS to work a while back and works well.

A problem I am encountering is that its seems at time that when i try to the browser and try to load a page it says "The page cannot be be found. Check the name and try again, what i then have to do is go to the com manager app and turn data connection off and then try again and it seems to be fine, just a little irritating at time when you wanna check something quick.

Also another thing a find a little frustrating is that accessing the phonebook is not really quick and easy you need a few steps its seems and u dont find using the contact button when using the Spb Mobile shell panel as i find this most user friendly panel for finger touch browsing.

My battery life not so hot i must admit. If i really use my phone meaning texting via mxit or browse the net, 1 day then my batt is on its last.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy the functionality of the phone it does what i need from a phone for now. Great display the best if have had up to now.

Camera a little disappointing i will admit but i think its more of a software problem than mechanical, but i think some you guys spoke about it already.

So far only twice did the phone hang on me and both time it had to do with the QuickGPS updater and then i had to take the battery out.

Then when that happened last i now get this message when i booted up the phone,
"The file "InHandUpdater" cannot be opened. Either it is not a signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the file." Any of you guys now how i can fix this problem

Oh and lastly i just cant seem to get use to the on screen keyboard. I am using Teksoft Finger Touch the free version and just cant get use to it. Anyone know of keyboard that looks like the normal keypad layout and that works well.

All in all i am still enjoying the phone for what its capable of doing, though i must say i dunno if my next phone will be another touch screen but who know what they come up with in the future.

Just my 2c

Are you on MTN ? this is a network problem, not phone problem I think. I am having it on MTN

Reinstall the program, I am not sure where the .cab is, search on XDA

Hi guys and gals

FINALLY I got my xperia last week, after waiting almost 4 weeks:mad:

You guys raving about your xperiances didn't really help.

Anyway, I have a few questions.

1 - Why am I not able to access the absa webpage, to do banking, from my xperia? Really looked like a fool this morning when I had to pay and pulled the xperia, just to tell the lady I should go to the bank :o:o

2 - Anyone know of a nice battery monitor app?

3 - When I set my ohone to use GSM, instead of HSDPA, to save on bat power, it returns to automatic selection.

TIA
