wait Tsponge.... 6.1.2 has dialer issues. he is uploading 6.1.2B as we speak.

im busy playing around with roms that have the new wm6.5 now
 
how u finding that wm 6.5? is it much better?

trash that wm6.5 idea.... dull dull dull. its like operating your phone in standard windows mode

ok someone help please..

trying to hard spl a friends phone here. i cant remember back to when i did mine.
ive got the hardspl app.... but now im battling to connect the phone. ive got .net installed, the phone is set to activex mode, i connect... it goes bing bing... (usb connextion sound in windows lol), and then it tries to install generic serial driver
but windows says it dont have it.... what am i doing wrong. x1 doesnt work with phone suite....
 
ah... install the bloody activex on your pc you nobchop
 
Hansa - Best Rom is touch X!!

Kvi - I had a feeling there might be a new release soon after the dialer bugs, so i canceled. will download 6.1.2b in the morning

Rodga - yea it pretty cool! Needed a new "back" because the old one cracked somehow :(. there are posts on Xda about it...But don't worry..happens to very few. I think, and if it happens to yours, they replace it under warrenty and do it while you wait( if you take it to a sony repair centre). I got mine in black because they had no stock of silver and I couldn't be without my phone... and it turned out great!


anyone know what java release came with V-lite WM 6.5? made mxit easier to use and dont wanna flash back to it just so I can see the Java version
 
Hey guys,

Picked up my Xperia on Monday from VC and so far i'm pretty happy with it. Bit of a learning curve 'cause it's my first WinMo device. (Not too excited about the look of winmo, but have tweaked so that I don't really see it too much)

Just have a quick question for you guys, is it possible to use BIS on the device? Would really like to use my device's connection without worrying too much about data costs.

I have been googling and all i can find is information about Blackberry Application Suite, but that hasn't been released yet. Any info would be appreciated.


EDIT: Okay, so its called Blackberry connect and apparently it doesn't work on the xperia :(

Hi all

I am still running the same rom that came with my phone just never got around to taking the plunge of flashing my rom just yet, just don't want to brick the phone as me still learning WM phones.

But it looks like i am gonna do it today sometime if i can download the file before i leave for home

I have a few questions

1 Which method of flashing is better? (if one is better that is)
2 If I flash via the my card I believe non of my info on my car gets deleted
3 When flashing by card do just name the file Kovsimg.nbh and reboot??
4 I have looked around and just can seem to find any decent back application can anyone suggest 1. I tried the one that Tsponge suggested the HTC one but it just hangs the phone.

If possible can some drop me detailed instruction of the best way to flash my phone and install the new Touch X Rom.

I have looked around the forums XDA mostly and here but just sometimes get confused with some of the techno speak lololo.

i use the card method, its easier for me - no cables

correct, nothing on the card will be deleted

yes to the renaming, but you have to enter the bootloader screen
by holding the "volume down" button and the power button till you get to the tricolour screen

ive never had to backup anything as everything is stored on the card and contacts are replaced via active sync with my laptop

That info helped a lot, never knew about holding the volume button down and pressing the reboot button

Gonna hopefully give a try later today

So once i have reached boot screen do u i just wait until it loads the the new Rom?

Do u have to reboot once that is done??
