The Sony X1 Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

*** UPDATE****

Ok guys, It's almost 11 now and I did sent 1 or 2 sms and that's about it... The battery is at the same level (Full minus 1 block)

Looks like the hard reset and the battery settings might have done the trick... I'll connect it to the pc and transfer some music to the phone to test it.

Will update way later (except if it dies :-) )
 
Hi guys I did download and install the Tom Tom software and I have my Device ID... What next???
 
hi guys

The bluetooth things works nicely. my dad has it in his BMW X6. Only problem is sometimes you get out of the car and someone calls you and you near the car, then it answers in the cars hands free and you cant figure out why you cant hear them lol

anyone using the winterface app?

Just an update... Did make some calls.. Listen to music for about 15 min... Browsed the web... And the battery is Full minus 2 blocks... Looks like it's working fine...

Ok the battery was a bit low around 6pm tonight... But that's about 2 days in normal use....

So it's not a bad phone for me.. :-) thanks guys...
 
when you first get the phone you WILL be doing lots of things and tinkering around on it and checking every available menu etc. so long as that screen is on its sucking juice. watch in two weeks time how your battery life gets extended as you only start using phone for sms mail net calls as required
 
Ok I have to say the X1 is a flippen nice phone...

Tsonge can you maybe help me install TomTom pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
 
I've had my Xperia for about 5 days. I'm still getting used to it all, but I am very happy so far. Does anyone know where I can get a good car holder for when I'm using the GPS?
 
Also... In the Sony Ericsson panel, you can select Springs, Pretoria, Durban, Kimberley, PE etc, etc, as your home city. Where the hell is Cape Town?! :confused:
 
hey guys... feeling like messing around with the phone a bit again. tired now of the new spb3 :)

what is the best and most stable touch flo out there? that works in landscape and wont require a format when i want to remove it?
 
I would just Flash to touch X ROm

I can post links to everything you need if you want man..

I am using it..AWESOME!!

I have used about 5 ROMS so far and it is the best

Other one I would recommend is touch IT 7

HTCBackup is cool for backups

Whole process takes 15 minutes - excluding download

touch X is the most amazing thing i have ever installed on this phone. thanks so much for directing me to this. i reckon every x1 user should be using this rom, wow.
its really been fine tuned, fast, strong, non buggy
