The Super PSP Thread

I'm saying that The sony PSP does not have the same qaulity as the DS or DS lite :D
 
Ive played with the DS lite. What a load of crap. Screen is bad, graphics are bad. You cant do half the stuff you can with a psp. Explain your comment please WKJ?: Midget.
 
well homebrew for psp and ds is very different.I mean where you gonna find a device that can do what a pc can do and is so cheap...I mean namw one thing a pc can do that psp cant,..o eerr so what can a ds do,I have never seen one in my hand.Every handheld mutimedia device has its pro's and cons...its just some has more pro's.

Ok first of all, an fps game on a PSP will not work!! The ds has a huge advantage because of the touch screen. Works like a mouse for a pc, second have you seen the new games that is releasing for the DS now....Graphics isn't crap. Third, if you are so into graphics, why don't you buy yourself a PS3 or a 8800Ultra for your pc.

And finaly...Sony PSP doesn't sell have as good as the DS (if you think its the price you are making a mistake, people prooved that price doesn't matter....Take the Gamecube and the PS2, the PS2 had way more sales)

Currently Nintendo has more sales then the whole sony (google it if you don't believe me)
 
I for one never argue about what system is better,To me all handhelds are good,it just some prefer different things,For example 90% of the time i use my psp not for games but for different things,I dont have alot of time to play games,thats for my pc,
I mostly use the psp for software,internet radio,wireless/remote control/movies/music.and most of all homebrew.
 
The main reason I bought a DS is its price and it has a touch screen. Haven’t received it yet nor have I ever played with a PSP so can`t argue a point.
Will there ever be a successor for the PSP? Or is there already one in the works that I don’t know about?
 
yeah pimpstreamer is cool, even without a internet connection,but try to use irshell the latest version,you might just like what it can do.I have been using it for 2 years already and it is really good
 
just solved a problem where the psp wont come on unless the battery is shuffled around.
my metal casing in the psp was not clipped exactly in place and was therefore pressing out on the battery, causing it not to make correct contact.
working like a charm now.

Rocket-boy tells me that this is a good place to post my PSP questions.
I have a PSP which was bought in the USA and uses Firmware version 1.50.
I like my homebrew and so do not particularly want to upgrade to a later official SONY firmware, yet I'd like the extra features. I see that there are several unofficial firmware version floating around on the internet.

a)How do I determine my PSP mainboard version
b)Which firmware do you suggest I use

A-its does not matter any more about the mainboard,but to be cautioned ,check google and look for image of a ta 082 motherboard with google.If its not then you can get a eboot firmware from www.psp-hacks.com get a 340 origina...te and is in the range of 40-50mb. Go for it.
