Hi guys,
I have a question regarding a bricked psp. I bricked my sister's psp while trying to downgrade a version 2.80 to 2.71. Its a 1007 model, non ta082 model.
Sony want R1300 excl Vat and they will swap it for me ( it was bought in Dubai, if you brick a 1004 model and if its not under warranty, you can hopefully swap it for R650 excl VAt ).
Anyway my question is that Hi-fi corp sells the so called non official psps. They charge 170 to try and repair it. Do you guys think it would be possible for me to take my bricked psp to Hi-fi corp, explain to them that while I was doing an official upgrade I had a power failure and it no longer switches on. Hopefully, they understand what it means and then is it possible that Hi-fi corp can re-flash the motherboard and hopefully get the psp working again. I would assume that if they can flash the motherboard there must be some charge on this, which I think could be a lot less than ICSS.
Does anyone think this can work ?
