Right so GT Season 1 is done. We now turn our attention to the upcoming TG S24.

The one without Chris Evans (thankfully).

The trailer is out:

So it looks it's just "Joey"; other Chris; Rory & of course the Stig.

Who else will be watching?

I have very little interest in this anymore, though I may watch it just because it's a decent budget car show and is likely to have something entertaining at times.

Trailer shows new Top Gear might actually be good

The first post-Clarkson Top Gear series was hardly the success its BBC parent company had hoped for, and that’s to put it very mildly.

However, with former lead presenter Chris Evans having left the show and co-host Matt Le Blanc stepping up to fill his shoes, there was renewed hope that the next season might actually be worth watching.

Now the BBC has released a trailer for season 24 and although one can hardly judge a full season on one minute and 38 seconds worth of preview, the show certainly appears to be moving in the right direction.

The amusing ad features Le Blanc, along with his co-hosts Rory Reid and Chris Harris, trying to act all straight and serious in front of an insurance assessor, with clips of their fast-paced, wacky adventures appearing each time the dull, suited assessor inquires about their driving habits.

The trailer doesn’t mention when the new season will air, but does promise that it’s “coming soon”.

Meanwhile Amazon has just finished streaming the first season of the Grand Tour, the rival show featuring Top Gear’s three ex stooges Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

But fans of the trio still have much to look forward to as Amazon has commissioned another two seasons of the show.

Will defintely give it a fair chance! I also hope they've ditched the rally cross track and gone back to the conventional one.

Now that Evans is gone, I will actually try to watch it again. Could be awesome.

I think the 3 of them have much better chemistry without mr shoutypants.
I reckon they will be far more entertaining too
I've watched Chris Harris videos for years and he is a proper journo and knows his stuff.
I will be tuned in.

Will watch. The segments without Evans were pretty good in the last season...

Yep, I'll be watching. There aren't many big budget car shows except GT and TG, may as well enjoy the fact that we have 2 to enjoy per year now.

Actually looks good. Glad Chris is not there anymore, these three can now pick up the mantle from JRJ and take it further, when Chris was there it was never going to happen

Glad Sabine was binned as well. Excellent on the track obviously but zero personality as a presenter.

Eddie Jordan...well he was just rubbish. Not much else to say really.
