The truth about Openweb

@Zenbaas

You would love my emails to Athol today then ;) i requested a confirmation of cancellation on a letter head he basically told me "My email will suffice im the owner"

Athol and Keoma are the members of OpenISP cc. so he's right in saying he's the owner as he's one of them anyway.. don't like him though. he likes to threaten you...

Wow isn't that nice then. It's been back and forth today as well and if I was closer to them I would have physically gone to their offices in person. Guess that's why they have all the cloak and dagger addresses.
Edit: But emails back and forth to Keoma as the "owner" doesn't suffice. :(

well there's several ppl that tried without any luck to get their office address... that seem to be a well guarded secret.

but you can track down keoma's address if your clever...

hint - look in this pdf...

How do you cancel OpenWeb>>

I've sent through an email to both their cancellations and admin email accounts.. No response beside an automated mail confirming receipt of said mail..

Do they plan to ignore me, hoping i will forget about it..?

OW replied today, confirming cancellation will be effective at the end of July as per calendar months notice (i sent through cancellation on the 30th June).
So beside the delayed response, everything going well so far..

You guys should continue this discussion in the correct thread, to allow for more views. Perhaps then people will discover the truth :p
Maybe this one.

:D

Just a request please. If you have cancelled or are in the process of cancelling your subscription to Openweb, please move on from this thread in so that those who are still with them, that do require advise or discussion from fellow OW subscribers, can do so in peace, without every second post being how crap they are and idle threats of reporting them to whomever etc. Your frustrations are old news, you have made your choice to leave, so leave the choice to stay with the rest of us. Thanks.

STFU Police has spoken :erm:

So, have also put in my cancellation notice after some fighting.

In their last email, they sent a screenshot of my usage apparently showing that the account was not being shared. However, I've been using a new WebAfrica account since about the 25th of last month. Their screenshot showed usage for July of 38 gigs so far :wtf: ROFL. Our point exactly Openweb...

:D
