The truth about Openweb

Just having been with the worst ISP, Afrihost, then falling in another trap... I am sick of testing with other ISP's to see if the problem lies with my line. The line works fine, connection is fine, but not getting a download to run.
And the lie about download heaven... Not getting any of that heaven they are talking about.

Good day
For the past few days I have had the most dismal speeds on my service.

Downloads does not work, iOS updates can't be done and even viewing youtube has become a total displeasure.

Is there shaping done on my account in such a way that the download heaven seems more like download hell? And that is general browsing as well?

If this is the face of things, I want to cancel my account with immediate effect as I had a very crappy experience with Afrihost and now with OpenWeb.

And I can't even get emails when connected to your account, and team viewer can connect to incoming or outgoing services

Please follow the process below to ensure the account is cancelled:

To confirm the cancellation, and for your cancellation reference number (which is confirmation of your cancellation request), please email your request to [email protected]
NB: This must be done on a new email, please do not forward any emails or copy in other department

Kindly note:

Only Cancellations that originate from the registered account holder will be successful.

In your cancellation request email, please include the following information:

Name and Surname:
OW Number:
ID Number:
ADSL Username being cancelled:


As per Section 8 of Openwebs 'terms' we require one (1) calendar month’s notice.

With the cancellation procedure attached as their reply, it merely confirms to you that they are indeed acknowledging that "THE FACE OF THINGS"..is a crappy service.

EDIT: the latest myBB ADSL feedback result also attests to the above...
