Nah I think after the way this thing has been de railed I won't be directing her attention here.

Pity cause it actually became halfway decent after the initial spam. Regardless I will bring it up and the show is happening for the forseeable future.

Hopefully we can get some local LAN Party coverage and then move to some of the online comps like BOTC. Noodle, I can't make any promises but if by some miracle she takes all my ideas someone will say they love you on air :D

Ok my turn. Now when i first saw the verge i thought it was rubbish straight up rubbish. Its poorly planned poorly orginized poorly exicuted. Now if we're honist we dont really have a choice between gaming shows but thats no excuse. Now it is live but thats no excuse ether if you cant funching on live tv record it and that sms line just takes up space on screen. And it lacks any relevant gaming content that gamers care about everthing they show can be found elsewhere ,NAG. This show reminds me of 4 gamers (yes just 4 peaple run this show)that got board and decided too make a gaming show thats fine only if you know what youre talking about and what youre doing .......and they clearly dont.That aside lets list the good points

So thats it and she does have a big fanbase Prooving that if you stick a pretty face on somthing that sucks it will sell. So you can make a link between pippa and a prostitute.

Lol, you are a perfect example of the type of a-hole that give NAG's fanbase a bad name.
 
I think most of you naysayers here completely miss the point of the show.

The Goal :

- To reach people without access to the internet.
- To cater for casual gamers.
- To inform people that are not aware of the online gaming community.
- To provide an entertaining overview of current gaming news.

What its not trying to do :

- Provide in-depth technical reviews
- Cover every single platform and every game released on these platforms.
- To use sexuality in the form of Pippa to sell their show.


You also have to consider the fact that the show runs on a very small budget and if Pippa messes up her words, so blooming what! It's not significantly influencing the show and it remains entertaining.

To follow up on my points above, I think it is completely successful at the market it is trying to reach. Yes, it still has its flaws and mistakes, but its fairly new and I think we should give it a chance.

As you can see, a few key members in the gaming community is in contact with the producers to try and improve the show.

To conclude, I think you all should sit still for one moment and think about your opinions before you post them, even though they are opinions, one riddled with false accusations and spelling errors (bloody hell hooden, your spelling is horrific, and that with basic words) won't be taken seriously or would probably be laughed at.:p
 
Sheesh, you guys are pretty harsh for what i deem a valiant effort in producing a local gaming show. Yes, the show's not perfect, there are some things i'd change, features i'd remove etc, but i think they're getting better as they go along. Surely this is a learning curve for them as well, and i'm sure they want to attract as many viewers as possible (duh!) but i do think they're getting there. I also don't have a huge cap at home, so getting to watch the latest trailers each night rocks (that's between feeding/bathing the kid, making supper etc). Hell, i even won a game on the Verge a while back. ;)
 
I Think Gamespot has some of the worst reviewers and reviews of all gaming sites

True, and they really don't have credibility going for them either.
The Verge is not a Reviews show - there are a million sites out there to quickly look at review scores, do we really need another source of another person's opinion on a game? I much prefer the daily news updates and trailers that's shown on the Verge. Now if only it was broadcast in HD...

Haha, this is true... There are things I could say of course, but will refrain from most of them. I particularly like the link between me and a prostitute....

The one thing I will comment on is the tattoo - You don't have to like it, it's not on your skin. Deal with it.

Thanks for the support from some of you - it shows you have a greater understanding of how a lot of this works and how we operate. Nothing is perfect, we never claimed to be.

Of course if some of you would like to come and do my job by all means send us a demo clip of you doing your thing... ;)

+1 Cybernet was awesome. (I saw some episodes in Brazil last year :) When's it coming back to SA? :p)

I've only started watching The Verge last week. So far, it's pretty okay. But I would have liked them to give some good commentary in the previews, like what Gametrailers.com do (and what Cybernet used to do).

But they are good in what they do. They are catering for the n00bs of the gaming world. If they can get all those n00bs to stop playing <name_of_movie_game_here>, then I'll be happy.

For the more experienced gamer, there is always Gametrailers.com for previews and Metacritic (especially Eurogamer) for reviews.

don't think you should take most of the guys too serious here, some would like to kick every girl in the panty, some have mommy issues, mostly, they mean well [sorta.... in a mike meyers kinda way]

haven't really watched the show too much, but the little i've seen looks fine, its a show... talking about games... simple as that.

someone here commented on what the target market seems to be, and most people on here are WAY too technical for an everyday user...

well, keep up the good work! ;)
