The Verge

haven't really watched the show too much, but the little i've seen looks fine, its a show... talking about games... simple as that.

Nope. Not as simple as that. The show I watched didn't really talk about games at all. They just showed some trailers of games. Didn't really give any helpful cometary.

Personally the show didn't rock my boat basically because its only consoles if I am correct, and whats with the mobile phone game reviews? Also saw some rubbish DS games reviewed, bit lame sorry to say.

We could do with a more "hardcore" gaming show. But I ain't here to hate, I am sure there are plenty out there who enjoy and appreciate the show.

I must say the Dante's Inferno stuff got me very interested, and i hate the boring documentary stuff

Killa where are you man :D I see that UG has read through the posts!

Anyway The Verge was at the MSSA LAN Champs this past weekend and a small snippet has been shceduled for thursday I believe. Check it out if you guys are interested!

The Verge

Is ****

The End.

Really, why would any gamer be watching a kiddies show, with sub standard videos, lack of material and so many bright colors like the audience is supposed to suffer from ADD.

Get off my TV

I was really impressed with tonight's show. They are playing very up to date videos (referring to SC2 & the Leguna Seca NFS: Shift videos)

Pippa, I would be interested to see what games are selling well in South Africa. Can you guys look into showing a local chart rather than the UK one?

We do local charts as well, last night just happened to be a UK one :)

Well UG thanks for the show I dont know why alot of these people complain at least you guys try.

I dont see any other show out there that tries to cater for us gamer anyway its been ages since a show like this came up.

Maybe take some of the "better" critics from this post and maybe look into some of the concerns and you can broaden your viewers alot.

Ps.
My question is how long did it take you to get that tats? ;)

Thanks, constructive criticism is always welcome ;) And my arm is currently sitting at 16 hours (4 hour sessions), its not finished yet. The piece on my side was about 9 hours.

OMG, OMG a T.V celeb on MYBB *gasp*

:D
LOL :p

Saw the show and noticed that most of the videos had this laggy feeling to it. The Starcraft2 video was by far the smoothest one of them all. Nothiong spoils a game more than lag...

I think it's where they're sourced .......... whoever is in charge of getting the trailers should only get HQ / HD ones.

Where's their website hiding?

I don't think they have a dedicated site but that they are on the vuzu website.

Anyway, my 2c although I only catch it occasionally:

The Verge is not perfect but it's a start. I'd like to see a little less in the way of canned game previews and more custom content like reviews etc. (I understand budgetry constraints could make this difficult.)

As for Unexpected Girl - She is attractive and seems enthusiastic enough about what she does.

Haha, this is true... There are things I could say of course, but will refrain from most of them. I particularly like the link between me and a prostitute....

The one thing I will comment on is the tattoo - You don't have to like it, it's not on your skin. Deal with it.

Thanks for the support from some of you - it shows you have a greater understanding of how a lot of this works and how we operate. Nothing is perfect, we never claimed to be.

Of course if some of you would like to come and do my job by all means send us a demo clip of you doing your thing... ;)

Nah....the tattoo looks awesome...very nice:D
As for the show...its nice to actually have something on TV gaming related to watch..there are some criticisms as some users have noted but Im sure the program will mature with time:)

Hopefully the Vuzu channel will allow The Verge to become and hour long show, sooner rather than later ..............
